Back Again

Haven't written in my blog for a while so I better update whats been going on :-)
Sammy is now operational and although I still like my Titan better I am slowly getting used to the Sceadu. The Titan has a Hyper 50 engine which gives it more power cos Sammy just has a standard OS engine.
I was pleased the other day to have a go on a buddy lead to fly a plank.!!!!!! and yes I did say plank LOL
I will admit it helps with orientation as you have to actually fly about the sky so maybe I might invest in a trainer that looks like a Cessna, I have seen one on the BMFA for about £45 but I am still 100% a heli person so I won't be defecting to the ranks of plank pilots just yet.

Midland Order

Hope my order from Midland arrives today because there's nothing I can do to Sammy without it.
I have re-done his canopy with new decals but really want to start on the head, I am useing green paddles to match the colour design and weighting them to equal the original paddles......mind you when I say original I mean normal Sceadu paddles because Sam had took the weights out of Sammy's paddles to make it sharper for his 3D flying, I am also changing the dampers as Sam has hard ones installed which I will replace with red ones.

Flying Day Again

Well its come round to Tursday again which means its flying this evening :-)
The weather was very cloudy and dull which was ok but the wind was really blowing, still we decided to fly anyway as it gives valuable experience controling the heli, the only downside is a crash is more likely LOL.
Got an email from Trevor at Midland Helicopters to say I had won this weeks Caption Contest so I have put the £10 towards Sammys new bearings. Funny thing Sue won it last week so its 2 weeks of women winners both named Sue LOL
Got my new T-Shirt in the post also this week, Sue had a couple made up for us in the US and I think they are pretty cool, wore mine to go flying.
Was supposed to try some green paddles on the Titan but I forgot to take them with me, also forgot to take my marker flags but the wind was a bit much for me to do anything but practise hovering and getting used to being buffeted about and keeping control.
Flew the Corona which was fun and handled the wind well, all in all a good evening.
